What type of insurance does this site provide?

It provides all risks insurance in the event of loss of or damage to your property whilst in the course of the removal &/or whilst in temporary storage during the course of the removal, depending upon the cover purchased. Full details of the cover available are shown in the policy terms & conditions set out on the site for both Professionally Packed and Owner Packed goods.

How much will the insurance cost?

The applicable premiums are automatically calculated once the relevant information has been input. You may obtain an estimate of the probable cost by using the ‘Quick Calculator’.

How can I pay for the Insurance?

You may pay for the insurance using all major debit and credit cards via our secure online payment facility.

Why do I have to complete an Inventory?

There are two reasons for this. Firstly, it is an extremely useful tool to enable you to accurately list all your household goods to be transported. Secondly, it greatly assists towards a speedy settlement in the event of a claim, avoiding possible queries or disputes over goods covered under the policy.

How should I decide upon the value of my goods?

You need only consider the current value of your goods taking age and condition into consideration. As your premium is calculated on the basis of your overall Sum Insured this helps to keep your premium down to a reasonable level.

Who are the Insurers?

The Insurers are 100% "Enterprise Insurance Company Plc".

If I don't buy insurance what protection do I have in the event of damage to my property?

Unless the remover/shipper accepts that they caused the damage and offers compensation, you would have to pursue a claim against them through the courts to prove negligence or accept settlement from the remover/shipper under their Standard Trading Conditions which would have been provided to you at the time an estimate was given for the job.

What do I do if I want to insure something that is outside the site territorial limits, or a higher Sum Insured than the policy limit or is shown as an excluded interest?

Please contact us to discuss your requirements. You can email Moving Abroad Insurance by clicking here.

If, after buying the insurance, I have to rearrange my moving date will this void my insurance?

No. Once a revised removal date has been arranged with the remover/shipper a new Certificate of Insurance can be issued. In this situation, email Moving Abroad Insurance by clicking here.

How can I arrange long-term storage cover outside the 60 days incidental storage cover provided?

Unfortunately, our site is not designed to provide separate storage cover. However, in most cases you should find that the remover/shipper is able to arrange this for you.
