INTEREST

Customers property consisting of Household Goods and Personal Effects incidental to a household removal.

Cover is also provided in respect of Packing & Shipping expenses following a total loss. See "Conditions of Insurance".

CONDITIONS

As per Conditions of insurance shown within this website: but principally:

FEATURES / BENEFITS

The Institute Cargo Clauses (A) named above are normally the widest form of cover available for “Interests” of the nature stated above and afford cover against physical loss or damage to the goods by accidental causes during the ordinary course of transit. Institute Cargo Clauses (B) provide limited cover and will be applicable to goods which are termed “Owner packed ”.

The clauses contain a standard list of exclusions of which the principle exceptions are loss due to delay, the inherent nature of the goods, insufficient or inadequate packing, ordinary wear and tear, consequential loss or loss of market.

The policy has been extended to cover the goods against loss of or damage caused by rioters during civil commotions and strikes. The basic exclusions apply and it should be noted that the strikes element does not include expense incurred where the goods are diverted from a strike bound port.

EXCESS

MARINE (Containerised and by Sea or Air): 1% of the grand total value subject to a minimum of £50 and a maximum of £250 each & every claim.

DURATION

From the time of taking up until finally delivered in accordance with the terms of the contract between the Contractor and the Customer. In transit between any address or in any depository, store or warehouse. Up to 60 days incidental storage will be included where this occurs during the course of the intended transit. However, Goods placed in a Self Storage facility will not be covered.

This insurance is only to pay for loss or damage where the commencement of transit took place during the currency of the declared insurance.

CANCELLATION

The Customer: This insurance may be cancelled at any time prior to commencement of the risk.

PREMIUM REFUND POLICY

Premium refunds resulting from cancellation of any insurance coverage purchased through this web site will be processed according to the terms and conditions of the insurance policy, and in accordance with standard insurance industry regulated practices.

Please read all coverage documents carefully, in particular the Cancellation Clause in the Conditions of Insurance.

PLEASE NOTE: You have no right to cancel on or after the stated inception date. However, we will give a full refund if you cancel within 14 days of the date of purchase of this policy and prior to the stated inception date.

CLAIMS

In the event of a claim there are clear instructions stated within the web site and in the certificate of insurance, for the procedure to be undertaken including the documentation required. Information regarding a surveyor if necessary is also shown. You may of course refer the matter directly to Clark Woodward Hungate & Co (CWH) or MOVING ABROAD INSURANCE at any time.

COMPLAINTS

All complaints will be handled fairly and promptly. You as a client can complain at any time during the insurance process. This may be orally, in writing, by facsimile or by e-mail. Our Complaints Procedure complies with applicable regulatory requirements and is available upon request. All complaints should be addressed to The Compliance Officer at the address shown within the website and will be acknowledge within five (5) working days. A "Service Standards Advice" is also shown within the website for your information.

COMPENSATION

We are covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS). You may be entitled to compensation from the scheme if we cannot meet our obligations. This depends on the type of business and circumstances of the claim.
